What do you do when it is time to say goodbye to working? How do you make that choice?
it wasn't easy for me. Health issues were the primary reason. If it was truly my choice, I'd continue working until I was 67, but the powers that be said otherwise.
So, now what?
Work on projects!
I'm in final phases of the fourth book in the Greycliffs chronicles series. This one is Aumery's tale. He's the knight who befriended Gaelynn when she arrived at Faucione. Poor Aumery has traveled a hard road. Abused as a child, betrayed, despised, and looked at with suspicion, it took Sir Phillip to see the diamond-in-the-rough. You'll cringe, cry, and laugh with our knight-errant as he searched for his home and true love.
The list of house projects seems to be a mile-long. Ugh! My easel calls and there are plenty of blank canvas needing paint. I've sold a couple of paintings this year along with my books - that's pretty cool!
I will be able to garden to my heart's content. The catalogs should start arriving soon. My eyes grow blurry with the dreams of colorful flowers and tasty vegetables.
Luncheons and travel are in the calendar. It's been too long since I visited family. Fly or drive? Driving allows me to stop and antique & thrift stores. Flying lets someone else handle the wheel (so to speak).
Bored? Retired and nothing to do?
Not this gal!
